Snoop Lion & A Better LA working together
This past Saturday, A Better LA was pleased to work alongside the Snoop Youth Football League to put on a day filled with football, family, and fun. Coach Snoop Lion and Pete Carroll worked together to instruct the 400 youth participants not only in football, but the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and education. Saturday’s activities also offered a cheer workshop to help cheer on participants. After the football session filled with technique and drills, the kids and parents enjoyed food and music for the afternoon.
A special thanks goes out to many people for making the day such a success: Richard Sherman, Seattle Seahawks Cornerback for helping with the football side of things, to Jim Veregge from United Grocer who helped provide the delicious food, Scott Obler for our fantastic photos, Mark Chow and his family for volunteering their time, and Nanci Chambers for making the day come together so smoothly.
Snoop Lion found the Snoop Youth Football League in 2005 to provide an opportunity for kids to “learn the values of character, integrity, discipline, and teamwork through football and cheer. ” Since then, the league has allowed children to travel, learn, and have fun all through the love of a game.
