NIKE TO DEDICATE MULTI-PURPOSE COURT AND SKATE PARK AT LENNOX SHERIFF STATION
NFL Coach Pete Carroll, Sheriff Lee Baca to Host Dedication Ceremony
WHAT: Nike and the LA84 Foundation have partnered to donate the Win Forever Court and Skate Park to the Lennox Sheriff Station in honor of Coach Pete Carroll. The new facilities, which include a refurbished skate park and a multi-sport court for basketball, volleyball and soccer, will provide a safe haven for the area’s youth to access sport. Nike and the LA84 Foundation share a mission to increase access to sport for Los Angeles youth and have partnered to build over thirty sport facilities in the Los Angeles area. The Win Forever Court was inspired by Coach Carroll’s dedication to ending violence and transforming communities through his non-profit, A Better LA, and their recently launched “Keep Kids Safe” campaign. The Win Forever Court was inspired by Coach Carroll’s dedication to the community through his non-profit foundation, A Better LA. The new court will also feature a mural designed by Los Angeles tattoo artist Mister Cartoon.
