This past Saturday March, 20 2010, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology hosted Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), an all day free event with a variety of seminars covering stress reduction techniques, nutrition and mental health, gang intervention, suicide assessment and substance abuse. 20 interventionists funded by A Better LA attended the event and Maximum Force Enterprises’ and ABLA’s Regional Director Aquil Basheer and ABLA’s Program Director Loren Hill sat on multiple panels. Basheer and Hill both agree that seminars like this where ABLA interventionists attend will help professionalize our funded partners even further and should be a training requirement.
